Dr. Krista Szalc founded Krista Szalc Audiology, PLLC, with a simple goal: to bring honest, high-quality hearing care to her community in a way that feels comfortable, personal, and never rushed. For more than 20 years, she has helped patients of all ages navigate hearing challenges with practical solutions that make sense for how people actually live their lives.
Dr. Szalc earned her Doctor of Audiology degree from Towson University after completing her undergraduate studies at SUNY Fredonia. Over the years, her experience has spanned everything from diagnostic testing and balance care to advanced hearing aid technology and cochlear implants. She spent several years training other hearing professionals across the country while working with a global hearing aid manufacturer. That experience gave her a deep understanding of the technology, so she can break it down in a way that’s clear, practical, and tailored to each patient.
What truly sets Dr. Szalc apart is her commitment to meeting patients where they are. Whether someone is brand new to hearing care or has been struggling for years, she takes the time to listen first and guide them toward solutions that match their lifestyle, needs, and budget.
When she’s not in the office, Krista is at home on her family’s farm in Alfred, New York, raising her four children with her husband. That rural lifestyle is a big part of who she is, and it’s exactly why so many patients feel at ease in her care.
